About This Event
25th ANNUAL! Join us for the Silver Anniversary. TAT is a GREAT TRI for first-timers, as well as a speed test for the experienced triathletes. Must swim 12:00 or better for 300 meters in open water to participate. Course: 300-meter straight-shot, wide, point-to-point lake swim in First Colony next to the transition area/ 10-mile bike with plenty of police protection/ 3-mile shaded neighborhood run. Mid-October weather is usually beautiful. Many in the field are first-timers, who will receive first-timer medals at SL Memorial Hermann tent, as well as hundreds of multi-year returnees. Minimum age of 10 years old, as of 12/31/16. Must be a current annual USAT member for $50 at www.usatriathlon.org (preferred), or be billed for a one-day $15 USAT license online. Annual membership for 17-and-under youths is $15. Ages 10-17 and College Triathlon Team members are always ONLY HALF-PRICE at Try Andy's Tri. Bring current USAT card and photo ID to pick up your packet in person if annual member. Please practice open water swimming beforehand to be safe. Tri Time Limit is 2 hours-flat. (12-min swim, 55 min bike, 47 min run/walk, 6 min total transition times). Race benefits THIRTEEN great causes. Field Limit is 650 for safety. Thanks! I strongly encourage ALL of our first-timers to take one of our TWO Saturday morning First-Timer Tri Clinics. The majority of our entrants are local...Houston, Sugar Land, Katy, and Missouri City comprise the vast majority of our field. However, folks come in from all over Texas and beyond for this tri! Lots of good competition. SORRY, there are NO refunds, NO transfers of entry, NO deferrals for any reason. NO exceptions to this rule, as fees are already spent on a vast array of race expenses, as well as given to charity. Thanks for understanding and please do not email requesting. NOTE: Dangerous weather could force cancellation of this event, without refund or re-scheduling.
