About This Event
This is a premier event w/a moderate bike and great run course. Great venue for a first time and veteran Half and Full (Ultra) Distance athlete.

Swim start @ Hefner Lake - Bike course will be on rolling hills w/several flat areas. This will consist of a 1 x 56 loop for the Half Distance folks & 2 x 56 loops for the Full. It is a fast bike course! Well supported! The run will be a 2 x 6.55 for the Half and a 4 X 6.55 out and back on the Lake Hefner trails (no off-road) that will be flat and fast. Closed run course!
Packet Pick-Up (At Race Site)
Regular packet pick-up, the pre-race expo and the mandatory pre-race meeting will be held near the transition area at Lake Hefner on 9/15. Be sure to look for updates on the Redman website: www.redmantriathlon.com
This will be a chip timed event. You will be given your chip race day morning. It will be removed after you cross the finish line. If you drop out of the race "please" be sure to return the chip to an attendant/volunteer at the finish line. If not returned you will incur a $150 fee.
Equipment & Bag Check-In at Transition
Bike Check-In & Full Distance Special Needs & Transition Bag Check-In: BIKE CHECK-IN to the transition area must occur after registration on Friday between the hours of: 2 and 9pm We strongly encourage atheletes, as a courtesy to the volunteers, to check in all bags (Special Needs, etc.) on Friday night. RACE DAY TRANSITION CHECK-IN (Bags Only, No Bikes) is open from 5-6:30am. All athletes must be through the security gates before 6:30am. ONLY ATHLETES!!! with ID bands may enter the REDMAN transition area.
There will be no parking in the immediate area of the transition area. There will be adequate athlete parking at the Lake property South of the entrance at Hefner Parkway & Britton Road. Athletes will be expected to walk the distance to the transition area. Shuttles will be provided if possible. Athletes, as well as supporters and spectators are also allowed to use the parking available in the lots of the Hefner Pointe Medical Plaza. A shuttle will be available to move the spectators and volunteers to the transition area throughout the race. THERE WILL BE NO DROP OFF IN THE IMMEDIATE STAGING AREA OF THE RACE START! All athlete meetings will be held at/near the transition site at Lake Hefner. See Schedule for time.
Awards & Athlete Buffet
There will be the USAT, 3 deep standard awards for Age Groups in all events and for Teams (if offered) in the Full and Half Distance events. Finishers Medals for all events. Finishers Shirts for all events.
Awards ceremonies will be held at the following times:
Saturday, 9/16, 4pm - Half & Half Aquabike
Sunday, 9/17, 10am - Full & Full Aquabike
Those not in attendance at the awards ceremonies that wish to receive their certificate, must request the award/certificate via e-mail, No Later Than 10/1/17.
The Athlete Buffet will be held on Sunday morning at 10am at the Race site, in the same tent as the Packet Pick-Up. This Full Distance award buffet (Open to Half DIstance Athletes as well) is open at no additional cost to all athletes that RSVP to the positive during the registration process. Additional tickets for the buffet may be reserved for $15 per person.
